The best selling female group of all time, Destiny’s Child, has been swarmed with rumors for sometime about a possible reunion. It seems that the rumors have finally been laid to rest as group member Michelle Williams confirms the group will reassemble next year.
The last time the trio worked together was in 2005 when the group decided to go separate ways. Since then superstar Beyonce Knowles has had great success as a solo artist and has recently been named Billboard’s 2009 Woman Of The Year. In addition, Kelly Rowland also has found success outside of the group and currently has a hit with the song “When Love Takes Over” which she recorded with David Guetta.
Michelle Williams was the first to confirm the rumors of the trio coming together again to make music. She must be extremely excited about the prospects, being the one to announce the news to the public.
Of the reunion, Williams says, “It definitely will happen. We’re sisters, we love each other and we want to work on the future of Destiny’s Child.”
What do you think of the news? Should they’ve made their comeback sooner or is the prospect of a reunion the last thing they should be pursuing? Let us know what you think in the comments!
