Kanye West Apologizes To Taylor Swift On Leno

Kanye West appeared as a guest on the premiere episode of The Jay Leno Show, Leno’s new talk show.  Jay questioned Kanye about his onstage tirade at the MTV Video Music Awards, where West interrupted Taylor Swift’s speech for winning Best Female Artist.

Kanye West & Taylor Swift.

After exclaiming that Beyonce should have won because her video was the best of the decade, MTV cut the mics and Taylor was robbed of her award experience.  Kayne was previously booked to perform on Jay’s new show as one of his first musical guests alongside Jay-Z & Rihanna.  Now, due to the public backlash Kanye spoke exclusively with Jay about what he was thinking and how badly he feels in retrospect saying:

It was rude, period. So many celebrities, they never take the time off. I’ve never taken the time off to really — you know, just music after music and tour after tour. I’m just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else’s hurt. My dream of what awards shows are supposed to be, ’cause, and I don’t try to justify it because I was just in the wrong. That’s period. But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve.

Kanye looked extremely upset, and if he was lying, he’s a better actor than I would have guessed.  For a man with such a huge ego, it doesn’t seem plausible that he’d go on national television to be remorseful, let alone emotional if his intention wasn’t completely sincere.  Check out the video clip if you missed catching Jay’s interview with Kanye.  Do you believe Kanye’s apology or do you think that he’s vying for the public’s sympathy because of the way he’s being portrayed in the media?

Kanye never took time off after his mother died. I believe he is sorry, and he will get the help he needs now.

To be honest I despise rap, however some individuals in the genre have my respect, however Kanye is not one of them. he lost my respect the day he decided to compete with another rapper (50 cent, who I also have no care for) for a release date, which eclipsed the more important September 11th anniversary. Placing profits over any concerns for general public decency. The fact that BET only covered this race to the green and completely overlooked the memorial shows they too are obsessed with ratings and an egomaniac. the worst thing about Kanye is not these blatant disrespects of individuals or groups, but his carrying himself as a music god. A music god does not require software the make it appeal to a washed-out general consumer base, who favor “music” with only the purpose to sell, mindless lyrics, and less than unique notes(including many covers of classic songs with even worse lyrics). well i do not like kanye, and this latest out burst is just one more reason why.
