Carson Daly mentioned it this morning on AMP… Yesterday at Henson Studios right here in Los Angeles, more than 80 celebs got together to record a remake of the 1985 song “We Are The World” in support of current Haitian earthquake relief efforts.

So, who all showed up? Who didn’t? Some of the names might surprise you. Both singers and actors came to lend their voices and show their support on the track, including: Pink, Vince Vaughn, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Nick Jonas, Harry Connick Jr., LL Cool J, Robin Thicke, Celine Dion, Akon, Rob Thomas, Wyclef, Jeff Bridges, Barbra Streisand, Jordin Sparks, Good Charlotte’s Madden brothers, Tony Bennett, Josh Groban, Snoop Dogg, Justin Bieber, “Parks and Recreation” star Rashida Jones, Jennifer Hudson, Keri Hilson, Jamie Foxx, Tyrese, Katharine McPhee, Will.I.Am, Carlos Santana, Enrique Iglesias, Toni Braxton, Jason Mraz, Miley Cyrus, Busta Rhymes, Nicole Scherzinger, Nicole Richie, Usher, Julianne Hough, Zac Brown, India.Arie, Randy Jackson, Kid Cudi, Iyaz, two of the Beach Boys, Trey Songz, Faith Evans, Mya, Gladys Knight and more. In all, there were 81 celebs that showed up to the recording.

Compared to 2010:
Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake were previously rumored to have signed onto the project but were not present yesterday.
Both the song and video of yesterday’s recording will be on-sale in the near future with all proceeds going to the earthquake-relief efforts in Haiti through the We Are The World Foundation, a new non-profit organization created by board members that include Quincy Jones, Lionel Richie, and Wyclef Jean.
