Katy Perry To Voice For A Loveable Cartoon Movie Remake?
Katy Perry has already distinguished herself as a recognizable artist vocally and fashionably. She’s currently in the works to lend her notable voice for the full length feature of those loveable blue characters we know as the Smurfs. Which essential character will she voice to life? Find out here!
[lastfm]Katy Perry[/lastfm] is in negotiations to voice the blond-haired, blue skinned Smurfette in the feature-length adaptation of the popular 1980’s TV series Smurfs based on the cartoon created by Pierre Culliford in 1958.
Others joining the cast include “How I Met Your Mother’s” Neil Patrick Harris, Alan Cumming, and comedian George Lopez. Editor/Director Raja Gosnell (Scooby Doo, Big Mama’s House) is taking on the project that will combine live action footage with animation and is set for release in 2011.
I guess there’s more of a demand for blue characters in movies ever since Avatar hit theaters and became the highest grossing film of ALL TIME. The Smurfs will also be featured in 3D and try to reclaim their rank as most recognizable blue creatures.
