Snap! Judgment: Bounty Hunter, Runaways, Repo Men
This may be the first week in a while that 3 movies are released that I would actually want to watch. Need help deciding whether you feel the same? Quick reviews and trailers are here, just for you.
The Bounty Hunter
Ok, so maybe this movie is the one that I’m least likely to spend money on… but you can’t deny that Gerard Butler is a STUD and Jennifer Aniston, well… her waist is so tiny its worthy of envy. Not really a plot that needs a lot of brain power to figure out, Butler plays a bounty hunter who’s next target is his ex-wife. The title, the trailer, and the millions of ads plastering this city should be enough to explain it. I really hope the movie offers some great moments, but my fear is that it’ll fall flat. Who cares, anyway? GERARD BUTLER IS HOT.
It must be my freakin’ lucky week or something. First I get Gerard in the last movie review, and this time Jude Law? Thankyouthankyouthankyou! Oh, and Forest Whitaker also stars in this futuristic movie about, well, repo men… But they’re not looking to take away your Escalade, they’re going after organs from people who failed to pay up for them. Interesting. As if the fact that Jude Law is in this isn’t enough, the storyline draws me in even more. Sort of reminiscent of Minority Report, isn’t it? I liked that so let’s hope this is just as good and Law’s pretty face can actually deliver.
Another ad that’s been plastered all over LA… Had no idea it was tied to this biopic on the early life of Joan Jett. It follows her teenage years (Kristen Stewart plays Jett) when she was founding her band The Runaways with Cherie Currie (played by Dakota Fanning). Personally not the biggest fan of Stewart, but from what I can tell the chemistry between her and Fanning seems awesome. It’ll be a cool rockstar flick to catch, something music related that I can get into and it looks to have amazing 70’s wardrobe. Gonna guess it’s not exactly one for the Twilight tweens. Limited release 3/19.
