Saturday night was a big night for dancing, light shows, and lasers! Zee David Guetta performed to a packed crowd that turned into the biggest dance party at the festival. I barely made it inside the tent for his set, but I snapped a few pictures to give you an idea of the dance mayhem inside the Sahara tent!
French dance mastermind [lastfm]David Guetta[/lastfm], mixed to huge rave inside the tent-turned-dance club that was over-filling with fans. He had everyone going crazy, playing all his hits including his new song “Gettin’ Over You” featuring [lastfm]Fergie[/lastfm] and [lastfm]LMFAO[/lastfm].
The energy was crazy inside the tent, and I kept waiting to hear “Sexy Bitch” while I was there, but had to leave before he played it, bummer! I was torn between hearing just that one song, or seeing one of all time favorite bands, Muse, headline the night. There’s just too much to see here!
[lastfm]Muse [/lastfm] and [lastfm]MGMT[/lastfm] were the two other highlights of the night. Huge crowds gathered for each of these bands, making it like a salmon swimming upstream trying to get through masses to get from stage to stage.
Muse also had an intricate light show like Guetta, complete with strobe lights and laser beams shooting into the crowd and almost blinding me. But now I understand why they always win the Brit Award for Best Live Performance, I thought I was listening to their recorded music they were that dead on with their songs. Best of the night for sure!
Night two of Coachella, conquered. Too bad I’m missing Devo play…oh well, more to come tomorrow, check back!
