Taylor Swift is rocked a perfectly purple dress on the glowing orange carpet at the 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Unlike previous award shows this year, Swift went home empty handed, but didn’t let that effect her rockin’ performance.

The 20-year-old country cutie performed her hit song “Change.” In the performance [lastfm]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] flies over the crowd on a platform, tears away her white dress, is backed by a choir and flips her hair in some Glee-inspired “hairography.” Lets just say the strip tease was unnecessary and completely noneffective. At least it wasn’t as awkward as Ke$ha’s SNL performance.
[lastfm]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] lost Entertainer of the Year to [lastfm]Carrie Underwood[/lastfm], Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year to [lastfm]Miranda Lambert[/lastfm] and Song of the Year to [lastfm]Lady Antebellum[/lastfm]. It’s shocking that Taylor Swift lost all four nominations at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
