Starting off the show last night, Sue Sylvester asked a pretty daunting task from Kurt and Mercedes that was close to impossible to achieve. The drunken April Rhodes, played by guest star Kristin Chenoweth, really tried to heat stuff up between her and the hot Mr. Will Schuester. Much more drama was uncovered in last night’s episode and the music was amazing. If you missed last night’s “Home” episode or just want to chat about it….. KEEP READING!
The drunken April Rhodes returns to the Glee set, and her duet with Mr. Schuester was amazing, sensual and had great drama in the staging of the piece. The pair of them will never make it as a couple, but the chemistry between them is phenomenal. April can’t seem to get her act together when it comes to having a drink, but when her rich boyfriend has a stroke, dies and his wife gives her hush money of $2 million, she does a gracious deed and buys the auditorium for the Glee kids to rehearse.
Kurt thought he was slick by secretly trying to set his dad with Finn’s mom, which he told in a recent interview with PopWrap:
It kind of like a current day “Parent Trap,”… and it kind of backfires.
But let’s talk about the duet between Finn and Kurt. Was the piece awkward or was it just me? It was pitchy in some parts but overall it was good, just a little odd. I think their parents are really cute together in this episode, but to bad Kurt’s feelings get hurt because his dad is bonding with Finn, ouch!
Poor Mercedes gained two pounds after Coach Sue Sylvester asked her to lose ten pounds. To fit in with the Cheerio’s, Mercedes decided not to eat and fainted in the cafeteria. Quinn took Mercedes to the nurse’s office where they bonded over a tearful story about fitting in and eating to be healthy.
Then at the peep rally later that day at school, Mercedes made a bold speech and then sang a rendition of [lastfm]Christina Aguilera[/lastfm] “Beautiful” and had the whole school on their feet. Mercedes was vocally flawless, but in the end a talent scout in the audience gave Ms. Sylvester a pat on the back for having diversity on the team…now that back fired!
