Just like in Game 3, the Lakers got off to a hot start and quickly went up 10-0. OKC was never able to get in a rythm offensively due to the great defense played by L.A’s big 3 of Bryant, Bynum and Gasol.
The Lakers shot a scorching 53.8% for the game, by far their best performance of the series.
“Considering how inconsistently we’ve been playing, and the last game in Oklahoma, this was one of our better [games of the season],” said Bryant, who had 13 points and seven assists in limited minutes.
Pau Gasol scored a game high 25 points and added 10 rebounds. Thunder forward Kevin Durant scored 17 in the loss on 5 for 14 shooting.
Game 6 is set for Friday in Oklahoma City at 6:30PM PST.
