Ellen DeGeneres is proving she knows a thing or two about music as the new host on American Idol, and now announcing her plans to start a record label and sign Greyson Chance as her first artist. You remember him right? The 12-year-old who took the web by storm with his [lastfm]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] cover? Yep, he’s getting a record deal.
Ellen announced on her show on Tuesday her plans to start her own label and sign piano wunderkind, Greyson Chance as her first talent. This kid hit the jackpot on Ellen’s show yesterday, not only performing for the second time, but receiving a new piano, $10,000 after winning Ellen’s Web of Wonderment contest and a contract with Ellen’s new label! All this before he can even drive.
