Recap: ‘Glee’ Goes Gaga & Next Week’s “Funk” Episode
Last night’s Glee episode had everyone singing to the tune of Gaga! If you missed the episode show, then we’ll catch you up on who had to change their look, if Rachel found her mom, and who thinks vampires are real!
All this and more after the jump, plus a look into next week’s “Funk” episode!
Last night, Tina got called into the principal’s office in question about her look. He banned her from wearing black, weird make-up and crazy hair styles to school. Then he implied that she was going to turn into a vampire in the twilight hour. He was claiming to help her from falling into a bad crowd and made it clear that he thinks vampires are real.
Tina listened to the principal and changed her look, but in the end realized that she knew who she was and no one was going to change that! Go TINA!!! This opening was funny, but in my opinion dragged on too long! What did you think if you saw the episode?
This appearance makeover sparked this week’s assignment! Rachel caught on quick at the fabric store when she realized all the red lace was gone, that Vocal Adrenaline was paying homage to [lastfm]Lady Gaga[/lastfm]. Will figures he can kill two birds with one stone — the kids can find a competitive Gaga number and this could help Tina find a new look.
Yes Rachel figures out who her mom is!! While sneaking into a Vocal Adrenaline rehearsal, Rachel realizes that their coach, Shelby, had the same voice as in the tape she listened to the previous week, so she had to be her mother. She even approached her about the issue, then had an amazing duet that will blow your mind away.
After all that, the Glee club takes their assignment seriously and creates awesome Gaga costumes! The Gleeks also band together to defend Finn as he sticks up for Kurt while he’s getting bullied by some jocks making fun of his Gaga costume. All and all, great episode!
Next week, the Glee club gets some news that’s sure to rattle a few nerves. Meanwhile, Quinn connects with her “funky” side with a little help from Mercedes, and Will gets revenge on Sue.
What did you think of the episode, epic or dud? What was your favorite number from last night?
