[lastfm]Kanye West[/lastfm] has been keepin’ it low working hard on his new album titled, Good Ass Job, but showed up at New York City nightclub “CV” to surprise some fist pumping party goers with some of his new tracks. From the look of things, Kanye did another “Good Ass Job” with this album!
It looks like time well spent in Hawaii yet again for Mr. West. His last album 808s & Heartbreak, was recorded in Hawaii, where he has been camping out of the spotlight and recording this album. (FACT: 808 stands for both the area code in Hawaii, as well as the type of electronic drum used throughout the album, 808.)
He showed up at the swanky, Lower East Side NYC hotspot, ”CV” completely under the radar, slipped up to the DJ booth and handed the DJ a disk with his new tracks on it. (FACT: The name of the club stands for the amount of people allowed in, 105, in Roman numerals. Someone HAD to take a video of this going down.. right?)
[pullquote quote=""Kanye leaned over and said, 'Play track three.' They all went nuts, Kid Cudi was dancing on the table, and then we cut it off at about a minute-and-a-half."" credit="DJ Scram Jones"]“We went to another record, and that got everybody excited, and Kanye said, ‘Play number seven.’ That’s how it kept happening. By the end of the process, we played four records,” DJ/Hip-Hop Producer Scram Jones told MTV News.
DJ Scram also said that the music was, “real hip hop.” No auto-tune, no singing (thank God), not even the soul samples that shot him to stardom.
His album, Good Ass Job is supposed to be released later this year. I can’t wait, it has felt like a “Long Ass Time,” if you ask me. (Fact: That was a cheesy play on words. Sorry.)
