christinaaguileracatwoman Christina Aguilera: Interview & Performance on Regis & Kelly

As a brazen, burlesque influenced pop star, a burgeoning movie star and a mama, [lastfm]Christina Aguilera[/lastfm] recently showed the world on Live with Regis and Kelly just how much of a Bionic woman she is.

Click more for a transcript of the interview, a sneak peek into her new movie, and a video of Christina doing what she does best–singing her heart out!

On being on the Mickey Mouse Club: “You knew that you were amongst really talented people. And for me that whole experience was great because growing up where I did, music and arts and everything; it was a steel mill town. It was all about sports and I grew up singing the anthems around my home town and whenever I met these kids I was just like, ‘These are my people!” I bonded immediately with artists. Kids that love doing what I loved to do and it was really nice for me to have that experience.”

On being a mom and a ‘normal’ person: “You have to make sure you have normalcy in your life. When it comes to my family and everything like that, there are certain things you have to keep private.”

On starring in her first film, Burlesque: “It was the best experience ever. I got to work with [lastfm]Cher[/lastfm], and Stanley Tucci. Kristen Bell is in it and she’s hilarious. And, there’s dancing and music. I wrote four songs for the film actually, including one big ballad in particular that was co-written by singer-songwriter, [lastfm]Sia[/lastfm], who I just love and adore. We did a bunch of stuff for my own record. It was an incredible experience. Out in November. Burlesque. “

On her new album, Bionic: “I did a lot of collaborations with other artists as well. [lastfm]Sia[/lastfm]. [lastfm]Le Tigre[/lastfm]. [lastfm]Ladytron[/lastfm]. These are all sort of electronica artists that I really got into. Futuristic. After having my son. You have a child and you think about the future the next generation and I was very inspired by that whole notion. And being a mom, kind of doing it all Bionic was kind of how that came about.”

[lastfm]Christina Aguilera[/lastfm] performs her hit single, “Not Myself Tonight“:

Afterwards, she opens up about her life to Kelly and Kelly’s hubby, Mark Consuelos:

Burlesque is scheduled to be released on November 24th, 2010. Bionic is out now and you can listen to it on [lastfm]Christina Aguilera Radio[/lastfm].
