Recently, if you’re in the streets of Los Angeles or a sports stadium abroad, you’ll hear a very recognizable sound emanating from the fans. This is especially true now that the World Cup is raging and people all over the world are rooting for their favorite teams.
Wanna know what that noise is? Keep reading for the answer!
The other day AMP Radio’s very own Michelle got her hands on a vuvuzela, a long, skinny stadium horn that produces a distinctive- and incredibly loud- sound when blown by an overzealous fan. She sent it today to the Laker parade and intends to bring it to any Dodger game she’ll attend in the near future. With so many awesome home teams to root for, it’s good to be a Los Angeles girl with a vuvuzela.
If you want an idea of what a vuvuzela might sound like, just imagine a stampede of elephants- x10. Just a word of warning: Please be careful when purchasing one of these delightfully obnoxious horns; blowing them too close to someone’s unprotected ears might result in some hearing loss for a few hours. Do not mess with vuvuzela.
