Drake’s Airbus Party In The Sky
What do [lastfm]Drake[/lastfm], Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson and The Govenator Arnold Schwarzenegger all have in common? Partying in style thousands of feet in the sky on “Air Drake.” That’s right, Drake has a plane named in honor of him with a picture of that gorgeous face slapped right on the side of it.
They weren’t the only ones to party it up on “Air Drake.” What other celebrities were picked up to join the mile-high party along the way?
Virgin America christened its first flight from California to Toronto by throwing a high-profile party aboard an Airbus A320 aircraft dubbed “Air Drake” after the rap star.
Booker referenced the “Air Drake” on the morning show on Thursday:
The party was hosted by Drake, Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson and Arnold Schwarzenegger to mark the first international flight for the California-based airline. Making a quick pit stop in San Fran, the hosts picked up more celebrities to join the party including actors Gregory Smith and Gilles Marini and dancer Cheryl Burke.
Drake commented, “Flying on ‘Air Drake’ is truly humbling. I’m truly honored to have a plane named after me.” The party continued when the plane touched down in Toronto with a water canon salute, an international welcoming committee and a red carpet party on the arrival tarmac.
Will you be making a trip to Toronto, Canada anytime soon so you can fly in style on “Air Drake”? Let us know in the comments, eh.
