She’s been everything but naked in her own music videos, so will people pay for movie tickets (plus, popcorn, plus soda, plus…) to see [lastfm]Christina Aguilera[/lastfm] light up the silver screen in Burlesque?
We’ve got the details after the jump!

Aguilera will play Ali, a girl moving from Iowa tot he big city and gets a job at a struggling nightclub. It’s a cliched character (anybody else remember Coyote Ugly?), but Aguilera was drawn to her anyway.
“It wasn’t just a girl who comes to L.A. and makes it big,” she said. “It was a girl who had suffered and felt pain, been in seven foster homes. She doesn’t let her past make her a victim. And that to me was so appealing.”
The movie will also star Cher and Stanley Tucci, who really should know better.
But the film might just be an excuse for the soundtrack; four new Aguilera tracks will feature in Burlesque, and she’ll also cover an [lastfm]Etta James[/lastfm] classic.
Burlesque is set for a November 24th release date.
Will this be a great film musical, like Chicago? Or a stinker of a “small town girl in the big city” flick like Showgirls? Tell us what you think!
