The “rehab” singer seems to be sharing the “work in progress” status of her third LP, which is supposed to drop at the end of the year. The soulful singer who had us all singing hits off her last album Back to Black like “no no to rehab,” after some less than phenomenal public moments had us singing, “please go to rehab!”
Her producer [lastfm]Mark Ronson[/lastfm] gives us the details on the status of her highly anticipated album after the jump!
Ronson who was the mastermind behind many of the songs off Back to Black recently said, “Amy hasn’t begun working on her next record yet. When she’s got 10 songs we’ll go down to the studio together.”

Though the pair, who recently worked together on a song for the [lastfm]Quincy Jones [/lastfm] tribute album, have been talking recently about making this happen. Winehouse and Ronson went out early this week to the Jazz Café in Camden, London, hopefully getting some inspiration, maybe? Let’s hope!
Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, who has labeled her next LP a “work in progress,” said we can expect his daughter’s album out in December.
He said, “I’ve heard some tracks. She takes a long time to grind out an album. She writes from her own experiences and most of the time they’re bittersweet experiences, and that’s the problem.”
The bosses at Island Records, the signer’s label, have also stated the LP will be out before the end of 2010. Our tears may not dry on their own if the album is a no show…We’re pulling for you Amy!
