sleigh bells 001 Are Sleigh Bells the Next Big Thing?

Brooklyn based[lastfm] Sleigh Bells[/lastfm] have been making some serious noise in the underground music scene here recently and why wouldn’t they when they’ve got AMP artist [lastfm]M.I.A.[/lastfm] in their corner.

Check out what they’re bringing to the table!

Back in February, during the recording process of M.I.A.’s new album, legendary producer Diplo Tweeted that Sleigh Bells Derrick Miller was one of the collaborating producers on MAYA, which was released today, July 13th.

Sleigh Bells then released their first album Treats in May of 2010 on M.I.A.‘s label N.E.E.T. Recordings and the hype machine officially began on this New York duo, [lastfm]Derrick E. Miller[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Alexis Krauss[/lastfm].

Mix in a handful of opening act appearances (at SXSW) and on-stage collabo’s with M.I.A. and Sleigh Bells is ready to blow. But don’t take my word for it…Check it out for yourselves…
