[lastfm]Diddy[/lastfm]’s former employee, Francesca Spero, is suing the Bad Boy for $12 million on claims that he fired her because she was old and disabled.
According to Spero, trouble with Diddy started as soon as she told him she needed a major hip surgery in 2008 and only worsened when she “suffered a relapse” to an addiction to prescription medication and alcohol.
The ex-exec said Diddy was “unsympathetic to her condition” and now owes her in damages for age and disability discrimination.
A Bad Boy rep said there were many reasons why Spero had been fired, however, “age discrimination is not one of them.”
Diddy’s rep goes on to say:
This is a grab for money by someone who concedes in her complaint to having had a drug relapse while on the job and an employer who was not satisfied with her work.
What really seems to be the reason behind this lawsuit is Spero’s bruised ego due to her 10-15 years younger replacement, who she claimed, “lacked skill set and experience.”
