Stars are always talking about other artists they admire in the press, hoping to strike up a conversation that could lead to a collaboration down the line. Earlier this week, it was Madonna reportedly wanting to tour with Lady Gaga ([lastfm]Madonna[/lastfm]’s manager, Guy Oseary, may or may not have denied this on Twitter this week, tweeting “there is no truth to a new tour.. or opening artists.. will keep you posted..”). Now, it’s R&B legend [lastfm]Janet Jackson[/lastfm]!
Ms. Jackson (’cause we’re nasty) would love to work with the Mother Monster at some point in the future, she recently said in an interview.
“What I love about Gaga is her story, where she came from,” Jackson said. “Before she made it, before anyone knew who she was, I knew who she was and, to see her finally make it, I was so happy … if we were to work together that would be cool.”
But Janet, who’s first album came out four years before Gaga was born, also had some advice for the young superstar when the two met.
“She works so hard, and I told her, I think she needs to slow down just a little bit, take some time out for herself,” Jackson said.
We love Gaga, but remember: She might have a Haus, but Janet had a nation:
How hot would a [lastfm]Janet Jackson[/lastfm]/[lastfm]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] track be?
