In the continuing saga that is [lastfm]Kanye West[/lastfm]’s life he unleashed a heartfelt apology to [lastfm]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] and offered her a song he’d written for her via his Twitter. However, sources on the web have been whispering that Taylor has no plans to take that song from Kanye and has a plan of her own to present at tonight’s MTV’s Video Music Awards.
Taylor Swift has prepared her own song for Kanye West, which she’s supposed to perform at the VMAs. However, she also plans to reject Kanye’s offer. At this point, you think everyone would try and get over the situation and make amends, but it appears that sweet Taylor has no plans to fully forgive Kanye. The song, which is slated to be released on her up and coming album Speak Now will tell her side of the story, but will it continue to vilify Kanye West?
It’s understandable that she may not want to record Kanye West’s song, we’ll give her that. However, publicly performing a song at the same awards show where Kanye crashed the stag with his now infamous “Imma let you finish,” speech, seems as tacky as taking the stage and stealing the mic from someone accepting an award.
Would Taylor Swift seem more of the forgiving, angelic songbird she has been portrayed in the media if she did take Kanye’s song and record it? Or should she stick with her regime and let the world know how she felt the moment Kanye West stole the mic form her? Take our poll and let us know what you think!
