This weekend it’s time to make use of your DVR’s because you will be able to catch the lovely[lastfm]Katy Perry[/lastfm] performing on not one, but three shows! Think you can guess what they are?
- Saturday, September 25 @ 11:30pm on NBC - Just before midnight, Perry will make her debut on the iconic comedy show Saturday Night Live with host- and returning alumni- Amy Poehler. Perry will be performing “California Gurls” and “Teenage Dream” and if we’re lucky, she may even show up in a skit or two. Here’s to hoping her acting skills are on par with her vocal abilities.
- Sunday, September 26 @ 6:30 a.m. on CBS - Katie will be featured in a career retrospective on the CBS’ Early Show as part of their “Road to the GRAMMYs” series. The gorgeous singer with the “jet black hair, porcelain skin, and cherry red lips” will be interviewed by Julie Chen at Hotel Café in Los Angeles, which is one of Perry’s favorite spots and the place where she got her start in the music world.
- Sunday, September 26 @ 8:00 p.m. on CBS – You can catch Perry again during prime-time television as a special guest on Extreme Makeover Home Edition. No, she won’t be building a house from the ground up, but she will be surprising the students of Boys Hope/Girls Hope in Baltimore, Maryland. It seems like a random TV appearance and maybe it is, but Perry is working her butt off, traveling the country- and the world- to promote her new album Teenage Dream and all we have to do is kickback on the couch and watch it all unfold.
If you don’t have any plans this weekend, grab some popcorn and watch for Perry’s multiple television appearances. Of, if you’re a workaholic (like me) or a party animal (like my friends), set your DVR and tune in later when you’ve got some downtime (or are recovering from your hangover).
So AMP listeners, will you be checking out any of Perry’s performances this weekend? Let us know in the comments!
