Kanye West As Tracy Jordan: The Reason For Twitter
[lastfm]Kanye West[/lastfm] has definitely embraced Twitter after opening his account there in late July; in right around two months, the Chicago emcee has racked up 750 tweets (that’s 15 or so per day). He’s let the world know about new music there, he’s linked to his friends there, he even got the idea for a collaboration from there.
But now, the Twitter masses strike back!
Late last week, a guy named John Harper created the greatest Twitter mashup/hashtag ever: #kanyeistracyjordan. Harper discovered that all of Yeezy’s tweets could be said by Tracy Morgan’s character on “30 Rock” simply by adding a reference to Tina Fey’s “Liz Lemon.”
“Yo Lemon, remember the museum plastic spaceship toys that were molded right in front of you?…. Those use to smell awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“No seriously Lemon, my teeth are real diamonds… these are not fronts… I replaced my bottom row of teeth with diamonds”
…and our favorite…
“Liz Lemon, do you know where to find marble conference tables? I’m looking to have a conference… not until I get the table though”
Here comes the funcooker…
Come on, admit it: If [lastfm]Kanye West[/lastfm] had started his VMA episode with [lastfm]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] by saying, “Liz Lemon, I’m happy for you…” he wouldn’t have gone through the full apology tour, right?
