Platinum R&B-selling artist [lastfm]Mario[/lastfm], you know him for songs like “Let Me Love You” and “Just a Friend,” was arrested for assault.  You’ll never guess who he started a fight with…keep reading for all the details!

[lastfm]Mario[/lastfm] allegedly attacked his own mother! She told police the former Dancing with the Stars contestant was throwing and damaging property and pushed her around with his hands and forearms. Baltimore police arrested him for 2nd degree assault.

Cops discovered several broken items on the scene, including a broken china cabinet, mirror, and a hole in a closet door.

[lastfm]Mario’s[/lastfm] mother, Shawntia Hardaway, also claims that the singer attacked her earlier in the week, allegedly pushing her “eight feet into a living room wall, where Ms. Hardaway hit her head on the wall.”

The 24-year-old was released from jail earlier today on $50,000 bond.

Clearly, [lastfm]Mario[/lastfm] is not in the mood to “Let Me Love You!”
