At no more than 5’5″ and scrawny, no one would confuse [lastfm]Justin Bieber[/lastfm] with a professional wrestler. But come next spring, he could be standing in the ring and opening a wrestling show with a rendition of “God Bless America!”
Negotiations are underway, according to Internet reports, to send Bieber to Wrestlemania 27, which will be held in Atlanta on April 3, 2011 where he would sing the show’s traditional opening song, “America The Beautiful.”
It’s not completely out of the realm of possibility, either. All-time legends like [lastfm]Ray Charles[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Aretha Franklin[/lastfm] and more modern acts like [lastfm]Boyz II Men[/lastfm] and [lastfm]John Legend[/lastfm] have performed at Wrestlemania, which is pretty much the Super Bowl of professional wrestling.
Here’s hoping his celebrity appearance, if it happens, turns out better than when baseball and gambling legend Pete Rose stopped by:
Which would rather see: Justin singing, or Justin catching a whooping from a big dude in a red bodysuit?
