When not making news for nudity (be it his own or that of a cartoon female phoenix), [lastfm]Kanye West[/lastfm] evidently is a musician of some sort. And we’ll be reminded of that again this Saturday, as Yeezy’s video for “Runaway” will debut all over the television landscape!
West’s 35-minute short film for “Runaway” will air at 8pm on MTV, BET, VH1, MTV.com, BET.com and VH1.com. Following the film, Ye will take questions both on TV and online.
A 35-minute film? Is this Kanye’s masterpiece or one of the all-time flops? We’d settle for just the Saturday Night Live version…
Early reviews from people who have seen the film are positive. West screened it at Harmony Gold Theater in Los Angeles last night, and the audience seemed to love it.
“It was interesting. I thought he exposed a lot of things that were worth exposing. It was very different,” director Alex Valls said.
“I thought the movie was excellent, very visually arresting, there’s a lot of exciting imagery in there. … [It's] very explosive, it’s Kanye, you know? It’s what you’d expect from Kanye,” added writer Conan Milne.
Will Yeezy’s new video keep you at home on Saturday night?
