Canadian-Portuguese pop princess Nelly Furtado has announced a career retrospective: her Greatest Hits collection will land on November 15th.
We asked the Last.fm Trends to take a look at her top ten tracks to predict what will make the cut.
Scrobbles are how you let Last.fm know the music you’re playing – every scrobble is a track played. Perhaps predictably for a pop artist, Nelly Furtado’s top ten most scrobbled tracks is entirely made up of hit singles (save for “Manos Al Aire”, a Spanish-only single release.)
Somewhat surprisingly Furtado’s debut single “I’m Like A Bird”, which shot her into the pop charts, only appears at number six in her most played tracks with a scrobble count of 1,077,085.
“Turn Off The Light”, the other single from her debut Woah, Nelly! is also low down in the rankings, placed at number eight with 855,663 scrobbles.
Her top three most played tracks all appear on her 2006 release Loose which has proved to be her most popular album, hitting 14,010,372 scrobbles.
Her most played track, “Say It Right”, which was co-written with acclaimed producer Timbaland, has 4,090,812 scrobbles, over 1,000,000 more scrobbles than second placed track “Promiscuous”.
If it’s not scrobbling, it doesn’t count! Head over to Last.fm for more information on how you can make your music listening count.
