[lastfm]Jon Bon Jovi[/lastfm] might “give love a bad name,” but the 48-year-old guitar god must be something right, what with the recent cover of Bon Jovi songs on this weeks Glee and his “wild night” with rockin’ red-head [lastfm]Rihanna [/lastfm]at an European Music Awards pre-party performance.
While one might think that Jon Bon Jovi and Rihanna would be diametrically opposite performers, the two fell into a concert crush. Bon Jovi gushed over Rihanna:
“Rihanna was amazing. We didn’t rehearse, she just came in for the soundcheck and nailed the song first time. I hear she’s learning the guitar but who needs to play the guitar when you can sing like that? It was so beautiful. She sang great, she’s a sweetheart of a girl. She’s a big fan too. It was great.”
What about RiRi? Was she into it as well? Rihanna told MTV:
“My highlight of the year was actually last night, getting on stage with Bon Jovi. I mean, I love those guys — me and all my friends, we love them — so I had the opportunity to get onstage and not only [with] Bon Jovi, but [to sing] one of my favorite songs, too.”
Awww, that’s so adorbs. Do we sense a collaboration coming up? That would be awesome if Rihanna worked with a bunch of classic rockers and edged out her next album.
