So let’s pretend you’re a Chilean miner. You were trapped under ground for nearly 70 days. What’s one of the first things you do after getting rescued? Run the New York Marathon? Wow, well that’s ambitious.
How about singing one of the songs from the hit musical Grease with [lastfm]Olivia Newton-John[/lastfm]? I mean…it’s not on my bucket list, but you can’t blame our favorite superstar miner Edison Pena for striking when the iron is still hot!
Singer [lastfm]Olivia Newton-John[/lastfm] had a tour stop in Santiago, the capital of Chile, when she asked special guest Edison Pena to join her on stage. He performed with her in front of a crowd of about 10,000 people.
You may remember from all the news coverage that Pena is a HUGE [lastfm]Elvis Presley[/lastfm] fan. He even sang a bit of “Suspicious Minds” during his appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. Later that week, the miner successfully completed the NYC Marathon.
Pena met [lastfm]Olivia Newton-John[/lastfm] a few days ago on a Chilean late night talk show while she was promoting her concert. Check out their adorable performance below!
So what’s next for our good buddy Edison? A spot on American Idol? Let us know what you think in the comments!
