[Poll] Black Eyed Peas Return Hip Hop To The Super Bowl But Will You Tune In?
Oh, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Black Eyed Peas[/lastfm] have done it again, the group will be the first hip hop act to perform on the Super Bowl XLV’s halftime show since the nipplegate scandal that cost CBS $500,000.
In an effort to update the halftime show for Super Bowl XLV, Black Eyed Peas were chosen to headline the show, which will go down after the release of their latest studio effort The Beginning, which will hit stores November 30th.
They are the first hip hop act to be booked for the show since the infamous [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Janet Jackson[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Justin Timberlake[/lastfm] debacle, where Jackson’s bare breast ended up on live television.
The act will definitely draw the younger crowds, but there’s no way to tell how the older, football watching crowd will react.
Black Eyed Peas have recently released the video for their first single off of The Begining, which they will likely play at the event. Check out the video and let us know how you feel about them taking over the Super Bowl XLV halftime show!
