FMIF’s latest spin on French [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]DJ David Guetta[/lastfm]’s “Memories” featuring everyone’s favorite “lonely stoner”[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] Kid Cudi [/lastfm] stays true to the original track’s trademark piano-backed melody while injecting it with a supercharged massive bass line.
This is the kind of song meant to either start, or end the evening. We can’t quite decide, but if we had to go with one track to kick start our night, we’d go with the original.
Let us know which version of “Memories” you would rock out to before an evening of awaited debauchery-ness. The song after all is about Cudi recapping his night made of wild memories.
“Memories” featuring Kid Cudi is originally from David Guetta’s fourth studio effort One Love released on Virgin Records (August, 21 2009). The track became an instant hit, and we’re not surprised – it’s produced by a Grammy nominated DJ and producer who’s widely known to able to take dance floors on fantastic journeys. We weren’t too excited about his work with The E.N.D. by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Black Eyed Peas[/lastfm] which won “Album of the Year,” but our feet went into a dance frenzy when club thumper’s like “Sexy Bitch” featuring [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Akon [/lastfm]and “Just For One Day,” a remix of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] David Bowie[/lastfm]’s song “Heroes” hit the radio airwaves. Even though he started out playing unabashedly anthemic house music, Guetta has grown into spinning and producing a blend of pop and progressive house that keep fans salivating.
Without further ado, here’s a video of “Memories” featuring Kid Cudi rocking out in a vintage [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Guns N’ Roses[/lastfm] t-shirt while going for a morning stroll and recapping the night made up of debauchery memories.
