[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Eminem[/lastfm] is coming back to Hollywood – and once again, he’s starring in a film that mirrors his real life exploits.
The hip-hop superstar has signed on to “Southpaw,” an upcoming film about a boxer who wins the title at a young age, then crashes and burns and has to get his life back together to get back to the top.
Hmmmm…could that sound like a certain emcee who recently has been through a Relapse and Recovery?
“I love that the title refers to Marshall [Mathers, Eminem’s real name] being a lefty, which is to boxing what a white rapper is to hip hop; dangerous, unwanted and completely unorthodox,” said screenwriter Kurt Sutter, best known as a writer on “The Shield” and creator and writer of “Sons of Anarchy.” “It’s a much harder road for a southpaw than a right handed boxer.”
Most importantly – could this film give us some new [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Eminem[/lastfm] soundtrack tunes? The last time, that seemed to go pretty well…
Does this make Em’s phoenix-like recovery complete?
