What are you doing New Years Eve? Well, while [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] is still digesting Santa’s brains, she will also preparing a special Valentine for her vicious little monsters.

BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat got to talk with Lady Gaga (sometimes we forget she talks, her Madame Toussand wax works are so perfect) and Gaga said her upcoming album, Born This Way, and its lead single will be out just in time to shimmy off your winter holiday treats to: “Well, the new single is going to come out sometime in February, and shortly after that I’ll release the album. It’s finished and all. I’m just fine-tuning everything. It’s kind of like the post-operative stage of the album. I’ve already done the full heart surgery. I’m just sewing myself back up again.”

How will the new album be different than the Grammy-nominated, The Fame Monster? Gaga says, “I think that lyrically it’s more poetic. It’s, in a very strange way, the marriage of electronic music with these sort of major, epic—I dare to even say metal, rock ‘n’ roll, pop, anthemic style—melodies with really, really sledge-hammering dance beats. It’s definitely the most innovative of all the music I’ve done so far.”

“Most importantly, [Born This Way] was really written by the fans. I mean, they really wrote the music for me because every night they’re funneling so much into me. So I wrote it for them. Born This Way is all about little monsters and me, Mother Monster.”
