With all the hype (and all of it justified) around [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kanye West[/lastfm]’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, some of the year’s other notable hip-hop albums have not gotten their due. But the New York Times went a long way towards makign it up to at least one emcee, calling [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rick Ross[/lastfm]’ Teflon Don the top album of 2010!

The Old Grey Lady gave [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kanye West[/lastfm] third place, behind Ross and (snicker) [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] and Speak Now.

Other AMP artists in the top ten include [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Drake[/lastfm] at number for with Thank Me Later and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Justin Bieber[/lastfm] at eight with My World 2.0.

All hail the Teflon Don:

We love [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rick Ross[/lastfm], but does anyone else feel like the Times critic was trying too hard to look different? Ye’s album, to redo an old joke, is one of the greatest of all time.
