Rising star Jessie J is starting to make waves with her single “Do It Like A Dude,” but what many don’t know is that she’s already influenced some of pop’s best-known stars.
Despite being just 22, Jessie J has already penned songs for Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Rihanna and more, gaining an early stamp of approval from some of pop’s elite. The biggest of those hits so far is “Party in The U.S.A.,” which has picked up 1,995,511 scrobbles to date.
She has made a great start to her own music career with her song “Do It Like A Dude”. The edgy number, which was originally written for Rihanna, was released on November 21st and has picked up 56,984 scrobbles from 7,044 listeners so far.
The success of the track has already resulted in her picking up the Critics Choice award at the Brit Awards 2011, marking off a year that saw her gain new friends and fans along the way.
2011 see’s the release of Jessie J’s debut album, Who You Are, which will be preceded by the release of her second single “Price Tag” which features rapper B.o.B.
