After a little holiday break, Food Truck Friday is back in full force. So what’s on the menu today? Some delicious and kosher-friendly tacos from Takosher!
It’s not everyday you find a Mexican food truck that caters to a kosher diet, but that’s what makes Takosher so unique. Listen to the owners explain to Carson what all goes into making kosher cuisine:
What exactly motivated owner Lowell to launch Takosher? The former educator grew up in Los Angeles with a love of Latino culture, but his kosher diet often kept him from enjoying Mexican food. After living in Mexico City during the mid-1990s, he was inspired to make it easier for others with restrictive diets.

Lowell teamed up with 2 of his longtime “amigos,” Moises and Chris, and the rest is history! The menu features a mouth-watering selection of beef, latke, tofu, and chicken tacos.
On its website, Takosher says it aims to ”bridge cultural gaps, unify people, celebrate diversity, & share great food experiences together.” That’s a philosophy I’m sure we can all get behind!
