But what was once thought to be a “cold case” has been re-opened by the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to reports, new information into the killing has “reinvigorated” the case, and the facts are now being reviewed by the Los Angeles Police Department, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and the FBI.
B.I.G. was shot and killed in March of 1997 outside the Petersen Automotive Museum on Wilshire Blvd.
In the years following the shooting, there have been several suspects, most of whom had ties to Suge Knight, the owner of Death Row Records. However, no arrests have ever been made.
