[Music Video Premiere] Snoop Dogg Represents ‘El Lay,’ Gives A Prescription For Awesome
We’re sure many Angelenos are familiar with this situation: you’re driving down Hollywood during sunset in a pimped out vintage convertible, top down, screaming out, money ain’t a thing and your partner in the passenger seat is none other than the venerable Uncle Snoop rapping about all the pleasures of living in Los Angeles.
That doesn’t sound like an average afternoon for you? Yeah, us neither. But with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Snoop Dogg[/lastfm]‘s new video for his track “El Lay,” we can dream our little “California Gurl” dreams.
While the video seems pretty low-budget with stock scenes of iconic California places, the song is a perfect representation of Snoop Dogg’s “hometown” pride. Especially the part where Snoop brags how smoking marijuana in Los Angeles is perfectly legal.
Ummm. Children, do not try this at home. Or on the street. Or anywhere really.
Sometimes Uncle Snoop is wrong. Although most of the time, he is very, very right.
