[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Eminem[/lastfm] has definitely redefined the term comeback with the hits “Love The Way You Lie,” featuring [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rihanna[/lastfm] and “Not Afraid” both off his latest studio album, Recovery.

His single “Love The Way You Lie” which addresses domestic violence issues instantly rose to #1  and is now nominated for Record of the Year at the Grammys this Sunday.

The hit is about an abusive and dysfunctional relationship which closely resembled emulated Eminem’s tumultuous relationship with ex-wife Kim Mathers.

Rihanna has also directly been affected by domestic violence as she was in a highly publicized domestic dispute in 2009 with now ex-boyfriend [lastfm link_type="similar_artist_radio"]Chris Brown[/lastfm].

The Barbados beauty explained why she decided to collaborate with Eminem on the song:

It was believable for us to do a record like that, but it was also something that needed to be done, and the way he did it was so clever.

He pretty much just broke down the cycle of domestic violence, and it’s something that a lot of people don’t have a lot of insight on, so this song is a really, really powerful song, and it touches a lot of people.
