[Fashion+Pics] What Did You Wear On Valentine’s Day?
Congratulations. You have officially survived Valentine’s Day 2011.
Whether you were flying solo, hanging with your single friends, or had a date, I hope you had a nice day. I’m not exactly the biggest lover of… well, the Day of Love but getting dressed up on these occasions can be fun. My friends and I were trying to put together what we consider a good Valentine’s Day outfit so I decided to share my fashion for the day with you!
I don’t usually wear pink but I have this dress I bought on a trip to Seattle at a boutique that’s pink-ish so I decided that would be my base. :] The rest of my outfit is black to tone it down and make that the center of attention.
Pretty girly, right? Normally my style isn’t this girly but hey, doing this one day out of the year is pretty fun. My tights were cheap, I actually bought them overseas and I LOVE the details! The stripes are ribbons, and they end as bows on my ankles. Tights are so fun nowadays, far from the old pantyhose your mom used to wear. Try funky patterns or something more romantic, maybe flower patterns, for a day like this!
If you can even believe it, the shoes were a steal. I’m not afraid to admit when I can get a cheap pair of shoes that look more expensive than they’re worth! Forever 21 can be hit or miss, but I love these booties AND they’re comfortable!
Cheap accessories, too. Headband from H&M and I got these cute earrings from Target… they’re small sparkly studs and perfect since I didn’t want to overdo it with cheesy heart acessories! (Can I just mention looking at a pic of my own ear creeps me out for some reason… Weird.)
Of course it gets cold at night, giving me an excuse to wear one of my favorite coats, the priciest item in my outfit which is otherwise pretty inexpensive. This is from Armani Exchange. A simple lightweight black coat, but it flares at the bottom adding drama! I adore it.
I wanna know what YOU wore!
