Yes! We finally made it to Friday and we’re SO ready for some serious R&R. But before we can take off, we need to put in a few hours at the office. Luckily Food Truck Friday makes those hours feel more like minutes…DELICIOUS minutes!
This week we have Let’s Be Frank, a hot dog truck, on deck. So did they deliver the goods? Keep reading to find out!
Los Angelenos are serious about their Dodger Dogs, so we were a big skeptical as the truck rolled up to AMP Radio. Clearly we were crazy because Let’s Be Frank showed us why they’re masters of “the dog.”
Let’s Be Frank started as a humble food cart in 2005 outside of San Francisco’s Giants Stadium. They would serve up the dogs during home games and it didn’t take long for their business to take off. They launched the LA truck in 2008 and the rest is history.
Let’s Be Frank lives by the motto: “Dogs Gone Good.” That means they use only locally-sourced grass-fed beef, so there’s no hormones, antibiotics, nitrates, and nitrites in their food. The dogs are served in fresh, custom-baked buns with organic condiments, so you know you’re getting a healthy meal that supports local ranchers.
Think you know everything there is to know about hot dogs? Well variety is the name of the game at Let’s Be Frank. You can choose between classic Beef Franks, Pork Bratwurst, Spicy Italian Sausage, and Turkey Franks. In fact, the truck has such a devoted following, they even sell their dogs online so you can cook them at home!
As is our tradition, we sent Let’s Be Frank out to the office of a loyal AMP Radio listener. Liz from Venice scored a free lunch and we can only assume she’s the most popular person at work now! If you’d like to win a free food truck lunch, listen to Carson on Fridays and you may just get lucky!
When will Let’s Be Frank be grilling up the goods in your hood? Check out their website or follow them on Twitter for all the lastest info!
