Carson Daly: Food Truck Friday with Chef Che’s Argentine Cuisine!
It may be cold and foggy outside this morning, but we’re turning up the heat for our latest edition of Food Truck Friday!
Today, we thrilled to have the empanada masters of Chef Che’s Argentine Cuisine and things are going to get a little spicy!
It’s not every day you see a Argentine food truck rolling around Los Angeles. Chef Ozzy and co-owner Carolina say the lack of competition has helped boost their standing in the industry:
Ozzy and Carolina launched the Che Truck back in October of 2010. Ozzy hails from Argentina, so the food is near and dear to his heart. The truck aims to provide high quality, delicious food with Central and South American flare.
If you ask Che Truck fans, they’ll likely say the most popular dish is one of its several empanadas. Empanadas are fried or baked pastries stuffed with meats and vegetables, but the truck offers a sweeter dessert empanada too!
Chef Ozzy has years of experience in the culinary biz, working in the kitchens of the Landmark Biltmore Hotel, The Century Plaza Hotel, and The St. Regis Los Angeles. Carolina has a background in the sales and catering industries. The two were inspired by the famous Kogi truck and idea of mobile catering.
