Japan was struck by a magnitude 8.9 earthquake off its coast Friday, unleashing a 13-foot tsunami that washed away cars and tore away buildings along the seashore. The government confirmed at least 60 deaths, but that toll is likely to rise.
Accordingly, The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii has widened its tsunami warning to include Hawaii and the rest of the Pacific Ocean. They’re currently reports of the wave starting to hit Hawaii, but those are unconfirmed.
The Center expanded the warning to cover California, Oregon, Washington and southern Alaska.
In the video (taken from a helicopter) after the jump you can see a huge wall of water filled with debris, mud, boats and BUILDINGS STILL ON FIRE just wrecking everything in its path as it runs aground in Japan.
