[Music Video Premiere] Black Eyed Peas Get ‘Lost In Translation’ In Pre-Tsunami Tokyo, But They ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’
“Just Can’t Get Enough” by the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Black Eyed Peas[/lastfm] comes at a poignant time for the world; a time when the Japanese people are in dire need of memories of how beautiful and dynamic their country was (and soon will be again) after the devastation of earthquakes and tsunami.
Recently filmed in Tokyo, The Black Eyed Peas video starts with a heart-wrenching dedication to the Japanese people and continues on with Tron-like light effects, the fuzzy emotionality of Lost in Translation, and snippets of what a day in the life of an international pop star in Tokyo looks like.
Fergie weighed in on the emotional impact the video has on her.
It was the easiest video I ever shot because it was us living our lives…I love that it’s showing a true perspective of how it can sometimes be lonely on the road away from our loved ones. It also demonstrates the love and connection we have with Japan. Our heart goes out to all of the Japanese people who have been affected by this natural disaster.
