Last.fm Trends: “Femme Fatale” Vs. Britney’s Top Tracks
Britney‘s back, and it looks like she’s going to be unstoppable. Not only that but as of Friday you’ll be able to listen to new album Femme Fatale in full on this website!
To help get you in the mood Last.fm Trends runs down Britney’s top tracks to find out what you want more of from the pop princess.
Britney’s one of the biggest pop acts played by Last.fm listeners, although she’s yet to burst through the 100,000,000 scrobble barrier; she’s gotten 92,684,441 plays from 1,975,871 listeners to date.
Her top five tracks are all fairly recent hits, from albums Blackout, Circus and even Femme Fatale, suggesting that fans are always after something fresh from the 29 year-old Grammy winner.
Single “Hold It Against Me” smashes into her top 5, with almost as many costume changes as listeners; 76,325 people have played it 3,184,812 times, scrobbling every play to Last.fm. That’s an incredible rise for a track just a few months old.
“Circus,” “Gimme More” and “Piece of Me” run close between fourth place and second, with just 337,408 scrobbles separating them. To put that in context, that’s less than half the plays picked up by “Till The World Ends” in the last couple of weeks, so anything could shake up the order there.
But at number one on Britney’s all-time chart it’s “Womanizer,” the epic single that signaled a massive comeback with album Circus. 4,851,573 plays makes it her most popular track, fending off classic hits and newcomer alike. Only time’s going to tell on whether or not it can stay on top when the dust settles on Femme Fatale.
