From her vintage, curvaceous beauty to her soaring soulful voice, there is no doubt that 22-year-old British chanteuse, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Adele[/lastfm], is an old soul with impeccable style.

Never falling off the fashion precipice even if she does spend time “Rolling In The Deep,” Adele knows how to dress appropriately and accentuate her natural God-given gifts.

We took one of our favorite Adele looks, broke it down, and found similar styles for you to wear, so you can also try your hand at the 1950s/60s styles of the amazingly enchanting Adele.

The Dress:

Adele is a porcelain-skinned full-figured beauty with a decidedly natural retro look. Instead of playing up to current trends that might not be suitable for her figure, Adele goes for very 1950s/60s styling, like this gorgeous ’50s-ish dress she wore to the 2009 Vh1 Divas Show.

The dress highlights all her pretty parts: a long, creamy neck, trim ankles, her beautiful place, and a subtle décolletage.

The three-quarter length sleeves cover up any problem she might have with her upper arms (for the record, we think your upper arms are beautiful no matter what) and the flared-skirt/cinched-waist combo makes her midsection look sleek.

This beautiful dress made by Pin Up Couture and available at Mod Cloth comes in all kinds of sizes–even the larger plus sizes–and is a perfect way to get the same classic 1950s silhouette.

The Shoes:

Adele’s shoes are pretty simple, kittenish numbers. We honestly think she could have done a little better with the shape, so we’ve decided that these tiny button-up peep toes from Mod Cloth are a perfect compliment to her demure, but subtly sexy garb.

The Hair & Make-Up:

Adele usually wearings a very pale lip and face with dark, dramatic ’60s eyes that have lots of black liquid eyeliner and fake eyelashes. While getting sticky with some eyelash falsies is a pain for day-to-day wear, it’s a fun look to try out for a sassy dinner date out on the town. Her look in the picture below is a lot less drastic than what she usually wears and she still looks gorgeous.

What you’ll need for this look is:

  • fake eyelashes (if you wish)
  • jet black liquid eyeliner
  • concealer
  • foundation
  • setting powder
  • a flesh-toned almost stone colored lipstick
  • a brow highlighter
  • whatever else you might normally use in your daily make-up routine
  • For the hair, maybe a bobby pin or two and a hair tie for the side ponytail

Still don’t think you can swing the look? UK’s Queen of Youtube Pretty, Pixiwoo, shows you how to get an Adele-ish ’60s look down and gives you a rundown of her tools?

Add some simple gorgeous jewelry of your choosing and soon you will have the same retro-chic, body-flattering look that gives Adele a timeless beauty that matches her soulful voice.
