Working at AMP Radio is a pretty sweet job, but some days even I can’t predict how awesome the day will turn out.

Yesterday morning, Producer Angie surprised Phone-Op Christen and me with last-minute tickets to [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm]‘s concert at the Honda Center.

I know, we’re spoiled rotten here!

The two of us jumped at the chance to see Mother Monster and proceeded to start a dance party in the office!

Long story, short, it was a night full of singing, screaming, and of course, putting our paws up!

If you read the AMP Radio blog frequently, you may remember that I JUST saw Lady Gaga perform in Las Vegas last week, but I just can’t get enough!

As soon as Christen and I reached our seats, we knew we were in for an incredible night.

We sat on the side of the stage, just a few rows up.  We were so close, we could see Gaga’s facial expressions and our perspective allowed us to watch her enter and exit the backstage area!

The 25-year-old singer, who celebrated her birthday earlier this week, started the night off right with a rockin’ rendition of “Dancing in the Dark.”

It was clear: Mother Monster’s wild and crazy party had officially begun!

Her seemingly boundless energy is evident in last night’s performance of her first big single, “Just Dance.”

Going into the night , I thought, “Well, if I’ve seen one Monster Ball, I’ve seen them all.” I couldn’t be more wrong.

Sure, the set list was the same, but Gaga finds different ways to connect with all her fans every night.

I was particularly jealous of one fan, who had the smarts to throw up a flashy red leather jacket on stage.

The pop star was drawn to it right away and the fan yelled to check inside the front pocket.

Lo and behold, there was a walkie talkie inside! Gaga couldn’t resist and proceeded to have a one-on-one chat with the crafty Little Monster.

The Monster Ball is set up in a series of acts, with short breaks in between.  Thank goodness for that because we need a little downtime after dancing our butts off to “Telephone!”

Most of all, Lady Gaga is a master of timing.

Just when you think there’s no way you can stop dancing, she surprises you with a slower groove, like this stripped-down version of her latest song, “Born This Way.”

So what keeps me coming back to The Monster Ball so many times? The tour’s theme of acceptance and love creates an amazing energy that is intoxicating.

People come to this concert as their true selves, not as who everyone expects them to be.  We’re all just there to have a good time and Gaga certainly delivers as a musician.

Of course, it wouldn’t be the Monster Ball without Lady Gaga’s epic encore of “Bad Romance.” She brings down the house every single night with this performance:
