You probably haven’t heard of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Porcelain Black[/lastfm], but we’re putting an end to that now.

She was born Alaina Beaton, but became [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Porcelain Black[/lastfm] and people are speculating that she’s the newest member of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lil Wayne[/lastfm]’s Young Money family which includes the AMP artists [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Nikki Minaj[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Drake[/lastfm], and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Tyga[/lastfm], among other hit makers.

Weezy introduced the rocker songstress to the world during the first show of his “I Am Music II” tour in Providence, Rhode Island and here at AMP we’re already expecting big things from her.

She’s fresh, fun, edgy and new to the scene making her the perfect edition for this week’s Last.fm Discover Artist!

However, things aren’t signed, sealed and delivered cause she not apart of the Young Money Crew.

Porcelain Black initially fronted the band, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Porcelain and the Tramps[/lastfm].

She is currently working on her debut album with chart topper, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]RedOne[/lastfm], the guy most notably tied to the success of the Mother Monster herself, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lady Gaga[/lastfm].

Porcelain signed to RedOne’s 2010 label and is on tour with Weezy, which is where the confusion of her being apart of the Young Money Crew has settled in.

Porcelain’s single “This Is What Rock ‘N’ Roll Looks Like” is slated for release on iTunes March 29th.

Weezy’s newest addition to his “I Am Music II” tour has a fierce image to match her power loaded lyrics.

Porcelain’s coming out party will happen during [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Swizz Beatz[/lastfm] upcoming music video for “Rock ‘N’ Roll” with Weezy, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lenny Kravitz[/lastfm], and infamous drummer [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Travis Barker[/lastfm].

It may appear as though she seeks fashion guidance from Lady Gaga but the up and coming singer has a style all her own.  If she signed with RedOne then fans can expect her to break through the music world with a bang bang bang.

When are you going to start playing her song ???? Be the first to play it !!

  • Chee

Universal Republic is not the title of her album. It’s her another record label. She’s signed to 2101 Records & Universal Republic so I highly doubt she’ll sign to Lil Wayne’s label.

    • Elizabeth Kaylene

Seconding this. Porcelain is not a member of Lil Wayne’s crew. She’s signed under Universal Republic and is managed by Red One (the guy who manages and produces Lady Gaga, among others). She’s just touring with Lil Wayne to get her name out there. Porcelain was formerly known as Porcelain and the Tramps, a one-woman band. You can find more information on her fan site, http://porcelainblack.com.

We said that. She is on Lil Wayne’s tour. She is signed under RedOne’s label.

Yes, we know Elizabeth. That’s what the article said. She is on tour with Weezy but signed to RedOne’s label. After the jump it explains everything :)

OMG !! I love Porcelain !!!! She’s my rock idol!! I’ve been following her since I was 13. When are you going to play her single. I’ve been dying to hear it !!

  • Elizabeth Kaylene

Way to be condescending. I commented because in this article, you said her album title is Universal Republic, when that is the record label. Get your facts straight before snapping at people trying to be helpful.

We weren’t being condescending. We thought there was a communication error! We’re sorry. We got this information from the label.
