The food truck is an offshoot of the highly successfull Italian restaurant chain.
It’s a family-owned operation and it all started with the namesake herself, Maria!
Her family is originally from Naples, Italy, but she grew up in Hoboken, New Jersey.
In the early 1960s, Maria visited her brothers here in Los Angeles. The moment she set foot in SoCal, she knew she had to move out here.
She honed her family’s delicious recipes to help them open their first restaurant, Matteo’s, in Brentwood and the rest is history!
The idea behind The Maria’s Truck is simple. They specialize in cooking up homemade Naples-style Italian cuisine street food style.
That means they use only the freshest and most authentic ingredients.
The pasta is imported from Italy, the breads and pastries are baked fresh daily, and the truck only uses homemade sausages and meatballs.
