Her newest single from Born This Way only takes just over five minutes to combine all the things we currently love about her Gaga: her well-written club-bangers, her obsession with danger, and her hard-rocking, leather-clad take on modern pop.
“The Edge of Glory” is definitely a welcome return to her songs about unfettered freedom–and a whole lot less awkward to sing-a-long than “Judas.” While we are totally feeling her sexy sax breakdown and her nods to the boss, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bruce Springsteen[/lastfm], we think “The Edge of Glory” is one of those fantastic Lady Gaga songs that just has to, well, musically grow on us.
However, we are huge fans of the lyrics, that describe the feeling (and delicious dangers) of being in love poetically:
It’s time to feel the rush/To push the dangerous/I’m gonna run back to, to the edge with you/Where we can both fall o’er in love
And, of course, her fans are totally feeling it.
